Frequently Asked Questions

Does TruPart have AS9100 certification?

TruPart operates under AS9100D-compatible quality systems. Our processes, inspection protocols, and documentation meet aerospace standards. Contact us for specific certification requirements and audit support.

What aerospace alloys can you machine?

We machine aluminum 7075/2024/6061, titanium Ti-6Al-4V, stainless 15-5PH/17-4PH, Inconel 625/718, and alloy steel 4340. All materials can be supplied with full mill traceability and certification.

What tolerances can you hold on aerospace parts?

Standard aerospace tolerance is ±0.05mm. We routinely hold ±0.01mm on critical features and ±0.005mm on precision-mated surfaces. CMM verification included.

Do you handle ITAR-controlled parts?

Yes. We maintain strict data security protocols for customer-owned designs. Non-disclosure agreements, encrypted file transfer, and controlled-access manufacturing areas.

What surface treatments are available?

Alodine/Chemical film, hard anodize (MIL-A-8625), passivation, cadmium plating, and primers. In-house and partnered finishing with aerospace-qualified suppliers.

Can you provide First Article Inspection reports?

Yes. FAI per AS9102 with full dimensional report, material certs, and process documentation included with every first-order aerospace part.
