These precision machining tracks share similar processes, materials, and quality standards.
We machine a full range of oil and gas materials: 4130/4140 chrome-moly steel, 17-4PH and 316/316L stainless steel, Inconel 625/718, Monel K500, Hastelloy C276, duplex and super-duplex stainless steels. All materials are supplied with EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 certificates and PMI (Positive Material Identification) verification.
Yes. For sour service and H2S environments, we machine components from NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 compliant materials. Our process for NACE parts includes controlled hardness testing, proper material selection, and documented corrosion resistance verification. We advise on NACE compliance during the quoting stage.
We achieve Ra 0.4µm on API ring joint (RX/BX) grooves and Ra 0.8µm on general sealing surfaces. For valve seats, we machine to Ra 0.2µm with lapping available for critical sealing applications. Surface finishes are verified with calibrated profilometers and documented in inspection reports.
Yes. We machine API 6A flanges (including ring joint groove preparation per API 6A Figure 11-12), API 7K flanges, and custom flange configurations. Thread forms include API line pipe threads, rotary shouldered connections (API 7-2), and premium connections. All threads are gauged with API-certified gauges.
We machine valve bodies — ball, gate, globe, check, and control valves — in materials from carbon steel to exotic alloys. Our 5-axis machining centers handle complex porting, seat preparation, and bonnet threading in single setups. Ram EDM is used for internal features that cannot be reached by milling.
We coordinate non-destructive testing including: liquid penetrant (PT) per ASME V, magnetic particle (MT) per ASTM E709, ultrasonic thickness (UT), and positive material identification (PMI). Full NDT reports with photographs and certifications are provided. For third-party inspection, we coordinate scheduling at our facility.
Components for sour gas service must comply with NACE MR0175. This restricts hardness, material composition, and heat treatment. TruPart machines NACE-compliant parts with certified material traceability.
Every oil and gas component requires EN 10204 Type 3.1 or 3.2 material certificates. TruPart maintains full mill cert traceability from raw stock to finished part for critical service applications.
API 6A and 17D specify sealing surface tolerances for wellhead and Christmas tree components. Typical requirements include ±0.05mm on seal diameters and Ra ≤0.8μm surface finish.
For abrasive environments, Inconel 625 overlay or tungsten carbide coating on sealing surfaces extends component life. TruPart machines and coordinates cladding with qualified applicators.
Downhole and subsea components require serialized dimensional reports with feature-level traceability. TruPart provides CMM reports keyed to ballooned drawings for every measured feature.
