Frequently Requested Materials

Our frequent incoming material requests cover European DIN steels (S235JR, 35B2, X5CrNiCu17), American standard steel (SAE 1010/1020), aluminium 6061/2024, tool steel as well as engineering plastics PC/PVC. Submit your drawing and material requirements for our review.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What titanium grades do you machine?

Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5) and Ti-6Al-4V ELI (Grade 23) are standard, plus commercially pure grades. Material certs with mill heat numbers included.

  • How do you avoid work hardening and tool wear?

Rigid setups, low surface speeds and variable-flute tooling keep the cut zone stable — consistent tolerances over the whole batch.

  • Can titanium parts hold the same tolerance as steel?

Yes — ±0.005 mm on critical dimensions, verified on a CMM. Titanium rewards process discipline, which we have in place.

  • Do you provide material traceability?

Yes. Material certificates, CMM reports, FAI and inspection records are included — a complete traceable file per order.

  • Is titanium machining more expensive?

Material costs more per kilo and tool wear is 5–10× higher than aluminum, so expect 2–3× the machining cost of an equivalent aluminum part.
