Frequently Requested Materials

Our frequent incoming material requests cover European DIN steels (S235JR, 35B2, X5CrNiCu17), American standard steel (SAE 1010/1020), aluminium 6061/2024, tool steel as well as engineering plastics PC/PVC. Submit your drawing and material requirements for our review.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can plastics hold the same tolerance as metal?

Yes — ±0.005 mm on critical features with the right tooling and coolant strategy. PEEK and POM are the most dimensionally stable.

  • How do you avoid melting and burrs in plastics?

Sharp polished-flute tools, controlled chip loads and coolant that keeps the cut zone below the softening point — no smearing, no rework.

  • Which plastic should I choose?

PEEK for high temperature, wear and radiolucency; POM/Delrin for dimensionally stable jigs and bushings; ABS/PC for general parts. We machine all of them.

  • Do plastic parts need special inspection?

Same CMM inspection as metal parts — full report and FAI included.
