| Surface finish | Ra 0.8–1.6 μm (grinding to Ra 0.4) |
| Size range | Prototype to production — send your drawing for a machine-envelope check |
| Materials | Aluminum 6061/7075, stainless 303/304/316, Ti-6Al-4V, brass, PEEK/POM |
| Equipment | 5-axis CNC machining centers |
| Batch | 1–10,000+ (prototype to production) |
| Inspection | CMM, FAI report with measured values |
From our historical RFQ data, around 70% of incoming part requests fall within 1–100 pieces. We support both prototype batches and volume production with no minimum-order requirement. Submit your drawing for feasibility evaluation.
Typical Parts We Machine on 5-Axis
Real demand from our RFQ inbox — cycloidal disc components, reducer housings, modular wheels and freeform brackets are among the most frequent requests we receive for 5-axis work, mostly from robotics and automation projects.
- Cycloidal disc components and eccentric shafts for reducers
- Reducer / gear housings with multi-face porting
- Modular wheels, impellers and freeform brackets

Frequently Asked Questions
When does 5-axis machining make sense over 3-axis?
When a part needs features on multiple faces, contoured surfaces or undercuts that a 3-axis mill cannot reach without re-fixturing. A 5-axis center machines those in one setup — no transfer error between setups, fewer fixtures, and better surface finish on freeform geometry. For simple prismatic parts, 3-axis stays more economical.
What tolerances can 5-axis machining hold?
±0.005 mm on critical features, verified on a CMM with a full report. General dimensions run at ±0.05–0.1 mm unless specified.
Can you machine cycloidal discs and gear housings for reducers?
Yes. Cycloidal disc components, reducer housings, modular wheels and eccentric shafts are typical parts we machine for robotics and automation projects — we receive frequent requests for this part family. Send your STEP file and we confirm feasibility within 48h.
How does 5-axis affect part cost?
On complex parts, 5-axis removes multiple setups, fixtures and re-clamping errors, so total cost is often lower than a 3-axis strategy with indexers. On simple block-type parts, 3-axis is the cheaper route. The right call depends on geometry — that is exactly what our DFM review checks before quoting.
What materials can be machined on your 5-axis centers?
Aluminum 6061/7075, stainless 303/304/316, Ti-6Al-4V, brass, and engineering plastics such as PEEK and POM. Titanium and hardened steels are run with rigid setups and low surface speeds.
Do you provide CMM reports with 5-axis parts?
Yes. Every batch is inspected on a CMM with a free FAI report on your first order, and we report measured values on critical dimensions.
