Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which aluminum alloy should I specify?

Start with 6061-T6 — machines clean, anodizes consistently. Upgrade to 7075-T6 only for high stress or thin sections: it is about 40% more expensive to machine.

  • Can you anodize after machining?

Yes, clear or hard anodize. Hard coat builds 25–100 μm — we account for it in the machined dimensions so fits stay within spec.

  • What tolerance can aluminum parts hold?

±0.005 mm on critical dimensions, verified on a CMM. General dimensions at ±0.05–0.1 mm.

  • Do you machine prototype quantities?

Yes, no MOQ — single prototypes through production runs, free FAI on every new part.
